Bovada Poker is Back for US Players; New Promotions Available!

Bitcoin Casino Bovada has recently re-launched the Bovada Poker room – one of the former top spots for US poker players which was shut down last year. The Poker platform was unexpectedly made active again without any prior warning from the Bovada team and without any explanation about why the decision was made. However, what was made available were some new poker bonuses for those who sign up at the Poker room.

US Players Welcome

Bovada Poker was one of the biggest US-friendly Poker rooms in operation, second to only big brands like PokerStars and Full Tilt. Nevertheless, the site was shut down at the end of September 2016 after the business was sold off to Ignition Casino.

Back at the time, players were sent an e-mail announcement informing them that the complete Poker offer was not being cancelled but only moved to Ignition Casino, to where users were kindly urged to move their accounts.  The Ignition client was almost identical to the original Bovada platform, although it didn’t offer Bitcoin sportsbetting like Bovada, a difference that remains to this day.

But as of last week, Bovada has opened its Poker site for business in the USA, among nine other countries. But while most of the US states are accepted at the Poker room, players from any states with a regulated online poker sector like New Jersey, Maryland, or Las Vegas will not be.

The new poker offer is identical to the one at Ignition casino since it’s on the same Pai Wang Luo Poker network, or as it was formerly called – the Bodog Poker network. Thus, the two sites will be sharing the same tournaments and games while being independent from one another. However, any former Bovada player will likely not be eligible for the welcome bonus offers.

When the transition took place, many players migrated to the new Poker site and left Bovada, which is why it’s surprising to see the Poker room re-instated. There is some speculation as to why this decision was made, including the recent decision by the Maryland District Court to reduce the charges against Calvin Ayre, the founder of Bodog and Bovada. However, the more logical reason seems to be that Poker was re-introduced to please the US sports bettors on Bovada’s site.

New Bonuses Await

If you’re a new player at Bovada Poker, you’ll get a chance to claim a Poker welcome bonus of 100% match of up to $500. The bonus is awarded upon merit, so you will have to sign up, make a deposit, and then unlock the bonus by downloading Bovada’s software and earning Poker Points during the following 30 days. Once you reach a minimum level with your Poker points, you will be awarded the bonus in $USD and there will be no wagering requirements attached to it.

All of the popular Bovada tournaments are also back, so you can spend any bonus money you earn on qualifications for the $100K guaranteed Sunday tournament, the Nightly Majors $25,000 Guaranteed SS, daily turbo tournaments and beyond, as well as the old Zone Poker and anonymous tables. There’s even a $5,000 Bitcoin welcome bonus up for grabs if you’re a first time user.

If you want to see what’s changed at Bovada Poker or you want to take a look through the available tournaments, you can Visit Bovada with this link here. You can also check out Ignition Casino, if you want to compare the bonus offers.
